I’m Erynn, the creative soul behind The Noctuary, a brand built on the belief that design should be as authentic as the people it represents. With headquarters in Lacombe, Alberta, I partner with businesses throughout Central Alberta and beyond to anchor brands in graphic design that last.
I’m a Leo, a film and TV connoisseur, a lover of the eerie and ethereal, and someone who believes the world is better when we embrace the strange and beautiful parts of ourselves. And yes, my cat Nyx is my trusty sidekick on this chaotic, yet beautifully creative journey.

My Story
Like many of us, I spent years trying to “fit in”; following the tradition career path, dressing to blend in, adopting interests that weren’t genuine and generally just trying to be something I wasn’t. Eventually, I realized this wasn’t sustainable for my mental health and slowly started pursuing interests that came naturally. It turns out your thirties are for rediscovering who you were all along: the kid with a love for fashion, folklore and mythology, for horror films, for getting lost in poetic stories and stunning visuals.
In January, 2025 I was laid off from my corporate design job, and this was the push I needed to pursue the long time dream of running my own graphic design business and do things my way. On paper, my life is organized chaos: I juggle a few part time jobs, my growing business, and other creative outlets. But I’ve learned to embrace the beautiful mess of it all; there’s a certain magic in finding balance while staying true to who you are.
I want to inspire others to embrace what that make them different and apply that to their business strategy, because strange provides a unique perspective!

A Decade Of Design
I’ve worn many hats throughout my decade-long creative career—illustrator, animator, marketer, and even event planner—but running my own business has always been the dream. I’ve built my brand around the belief that professionalism and authenticity can coexist.
Some of my greatest accomplishments designing magazines, catalogues, and branding projects across Alberta, have also been some of the biggest challenges I’ve faced, like building a beautiful 200 page service catalogue that wasn’t practical to be printed as a whole and turning it into 4 smaller, equally beautiful versions, or maintaining brand consistency through seven years of meticulously crafted product catalogues. From managing over 3,000 products in one catalogue to curating specialized holiday editions, I’ve navigated varying sizes of 16 to 230 pages, ensuring every page reflected the brand’s essence.
My personal style lives in the dark and moody—black is, after all, the superior colour—but I love working across every aesthetic, whether timelessly classic or delightfully unconventional. My ultimate goal is to create designs that feel authentic to you. Whatever your vision, I want to bring it to life in a way that’s genuine, impactful, and uniquely yours.
